A special screening of a selection of animated shorts that flirt with absurdist narratives. These rough and ready films aim to be a humorous alternative to the gloss of the conventional. Curated by Silas Money.


‘ILLUSTUBERS’ (1PM)

A conversation with top illustrators Fran Meneses (aka Frannerd) and Holly Exley about the power of YouTube and vlogging and how it has affected their careers.


‘JIM STOTEN’ (2.30PM)

Illustrator Jim Stoten runs through his entire career from drawing in the bath as a student, to creating children’s books as a 36 year old person, passing a set of breakthroughs about what not to do, along the way.

This prolific group of artists discuss the very important role illustration plays when attempting to teach complex subjects such as science, history and nature. They will explore the balance between cold hard facts and expressive illustration.
